Q: How much are your fees?
A: Normally our fees are 5% of the FOB price. This includes all our services such as inspections, arranging, shipping, sourcing, and all communication and translation support. In some cases ,fees may be slightly higher depending on how complicated a project may be and or the locations of the factories. We always try to stay reasonable and affordable.

Q: Can I come to China to check the factory?
A: You are more than welcome to come visit the factories. We actually recommend it. This will help you to get a better understanding of the quality, design, and what is available in the China market.

Q: How is the quality in China?
A: There are many differerent quality standards in China. China produces products for different countries all over the world with different standards than the U.S This is why it is important to provide detailed information and use factories that are familiar with our market. Also the saying "You pay for what you get" Applies very much so in China.

Q: I would like to choose or use our own suppliers. Can we still use your services?
A: Yes you can. Builderside is a service and management company. We are open to use your suppliers or can appoint suppliers for you.

Q: Are you really using EX factory or FOB pricing?
A: Yes we are. We like to work openly with no hidden costs or margins. We are only expecting to recieve our service fees. Since we do not spend money on marketing, sales, and developing products our costs are low. Our speciality is being able to coordinate factories and communicating the Buyers needs.

Q: Are shipping delays common? And what are the reasons?
A: Shipping delays are uncommon but do occur. Common reasons are weather, issues with raw materials, and busy shipping seasons.

Q: What is FOB pricing? What is the difference between FOB and CIF?
A: FOB pricing is the price of the product including the delivery to the port and loading fees. It does not include shipping. CIF is cost insurance freight. For more on Trade terms please check our page on "Trade terms"

Q: I have products I would like to add from a far distant factory. Can you arrange this?
A: Yes. We can arrange the delivery and will always use the most affordable rates available. Only time when this may be an issue is if products are from a Competitor of the factory where items are to be loaded. Some suppliers do not mind especially if it is a design they do not produce. New suppliers may not be as cooperative in the beginning. So far we have not had any major issues. There may be some loading fees from the factory. However, they are usually quite low and just expect us to pay something to the workers for helping us.

Q: Can you have products delivered to our site?
A: Yes. We can deliver to your site.

Q: Can you arrange marketing materials?
A: Yes. We have had materials printed in China for our clients.
